Negatively Pressurized Container - Light
The Negatively Pressurized Container – Lite (NPC-L) is the only USAF certified transport solution for highly contagious infectious diseases. The NPC-L is a negatively pressured container allowing the transport and critical care of highly infectious patients without compromising the safety of the flight crew or other passengers. It is certified on both C-130 H/J and C-17 aircraft. The NPC-L utilizes only four pallet positions and has an aisle way. The NPC-L can transport up to 16 ambulatory patients, 4 litter patients, and 2 critical care patients or variations thereof. The NPC-L interfaces with the aircraft palletized cargo handling system rails and locks so no additional restraint is required.
